Business Development Executive

Absurd is an integrated product and service design agency. As the design partner for large organisations through to scale-ups, our multi-disciplinary teams solve complex business problems and discover opportunities to mature and transform service experiences.

Established in 2016, we have enjoyed considerable growth and are now looking for great people to join our team and help drive the continued growth of Absurd.


The Role

Based in our central Manchester studio, you’ll be key to our outbound lead generation activity;

  • Researching organisations and individuals to identify new leads and key decision makers;
  • Contacting potential leads via email or phone to build relationships from scratch and set qualified meetings that support our sales pipeline;
  • Managing our CRM and contributing to our sales forecasts where appropriate;
  • Engaging with wider colleagues in the studio to understand what type of work drives them, encouraging internal activities that can help support lead generation externally;
  • Contributing to activities that build a profile for Absurd in the international marketplace;
  • Attending and representing Absurd at industry events.


  • You'll likely already be operating in an agency environment and will have a working understanding of the agency pipeline;
  • You'll love building new relationships and calling cold prospects won’t faze you;
  • You’ll be a self-starter and be happy working independently;
  • You can handle pressure and meet deadlines whilst multi-tasking;
  • You’ll have strong communication skills - both verbal and written;
  • You'll have 2+ years’ experience in a similar role.

Salary dependent on experience.
